Jana Chetana is a combination of “JANA “means “People” and “CHETANA” means “Consciousness”. Jana Chetana is therefore a social action group and believes in an integrated approach in the transformation of Adivasi Dalit Bahujans to a better life. The Jana Chetana was constituted in 1984 as an association for dissemination of knowledge and diffusion of information for promotion of Rural Reconstruction and Rural Development.
